And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
