Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
