Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
