Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
