Verily We created man of potter's clay of black mud altered, 26 As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, bow before him in homage;" 29 So the angels fell prostrate, all of them together 30 But Iblis did not; he refused to be with the prostrates. 31 He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate? 32 "How could I bow," said he, "before a mortal whom You created from fermented clay dried tingling hard?" 33 (Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed! 34 Upon thee shall rest the curse, till the Day of Doom.' 35 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 36 Answered He: "Verily, so be it: thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one, 39 except Your sincere servants". 40 God said, "The path which leads to Me is a straight 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
