The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
