Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds? 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority. 38 Or has He only daughters and ye have sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 So leave them alone until they face the day when they will be struck dead from terror 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 Await the judgement of your Lord, for you are always before Our eyes, and glorify your Lord with praises when you rise, 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
