O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 it is these who hasten to do good works and vie in so doing with one another. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
