The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, “Shall we believe in you, whereas the abject people are with you?” 111 He said: 'I have no knowledge of what they have done. 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
