The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
