Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
