The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
