We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
