Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
