The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
