The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
