Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till a limit known? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
