He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 and let him share my task, 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 "[And thou wert under Mine eye] when thy sister went forth and said [to Pharaoh's people,] 'Shall I guide you unto [a woman] who might take charge of him?'' And so We returned thee unto thy mother, so that her eye be gladdened, and that she might not sorrow [any longer]. "And [when thou camest of age, thou didst slay a man: but We did save thee from all grief, although We tried thee with various trials. "And then thou didst sojourn for years among the people of Madyan; and now thou hast come [here] as ordained [by Me,] O Moses: 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
