Have the unbelievers not seen that the heavens and the earth were sewn up as one (solid) mass, then We unstitched them, and that We made every living thing of water? Will they not believe! 30 And We placed firm mountains on earth lest it should sway with them, and We made wide paths in them that they may find their way; 31 And We made the sky a well-protected roof. Still they turn away from His signs! 32 And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit. 33 We have not assigned to any mortal before thee to live forever; therefore, if thou diest, will they live forever? 34 Every soul is going to taste of death, and We shall prove you with evil and good as a temptation; and unto Us ye shall be returned. 35 But when the unbelievers see you they make fun of you (and say): "Is this the one who mentions your gods (deridingly)?" Yet in Ar-Rahman they disbelieve! 36 Man is hasty by nature. I shall certainly show you My Signs. Do not ask Me to be hasty. 37 They say, "When shall the Day of Judgment come to pass if you are true in your claim?" 38 If the unbelievers but knew when that they shall not ward off the Fire from their faces nor from their backs, neither shall they be helped! 39 Nay, it (the Fire or the Day of Resurrection) will come upon them all of a sudden and will perplex them, and they will have no power to avert it, nor will they get respite. 40 They mocked the Messengers who were sent before you; thus, the torment which they had ridiculed encompassed them all. 41
