Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted? 69 Those who cry lies to the Book and that wherewith We sent Our Messengers -- soon they will know! 70 When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along- 71 Through boiling waters; then they are thrust into the Fire. 72 Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship] 73 "Besides Allah" They will say: "They have vanished from us: Nay, we did not invoke (worship) anything before." Thus Allah leads astray the disbelievers. 74 That was because you had been exulting in the earth without any right (by worshipping others instead of Allah and by committing crimes), and that you used to rejoice extremely (in your error). 75 "Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) abode of the arrogant!" 76 Wherefore persevere thou; verily the promise of Allah is true; then whether We let thee see a part of that wherewith We have promised them, or whether We cause thee to die, unto Us they all will be caused to return. 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
