The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
