Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Say: 'It has been revealed to me that a company of the jinn gave ear, then they said, "We have indeed heard a Koran wonderful, 1 It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. 2 And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 ‘Whereas we thought that men and jinns would never fabricate a lie against Allah!’ 5 And persons among humankind have been seeking refuge with persons of the jinn, so that they increased them in evil disposition. 6 Those people thought, like you, that God would never send down a Messenger. 7 "'And [so it happened] that we reached out towards heaven: but we found it filled with mighty guards and flames, 8 'We used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations, to (steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush. 9 And we know not whether evil is boded for those who are on the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth for them a right direction. 10 And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules. 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 So when we heard the guidance we believed in it; and he who believes in his Lord will neither fear loss nor force. 13 And of us some are Muslims, and of us some are deviators. Then whosoever hath embraced Islam - such have endeavoured after a path of rectitude. 14 ‘And as for the unjust – they are the fuel of hell.’” 15 If they had followed the Path We would give to them abundant water to drink, 16 that We might try them therein. And whosoever turns away from the Remembrance of his Lord, He will thrust him into chastisement rigorous. 17 And that the mosques are Allah's, therefore call not upon any one with Allah: 18 when God's servant stood up to pray to Him, they pressed close to him in great numbers, almost stifling him. 19
