By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 Warn the men. 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About the guilty: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 running away from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
