Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
