And the Satan will say when the affair hath been decreed: verily Allah promised you a promise of truth; and I promised you, then I failed; and I had over you no authority, save that I called you and ye answered me; wherefore reproach me not but reproach yourselves. I am not going to succour you nor are ye going to succour me: verily I disbelieve in your having associated me afore. Verily the wrong-doers! for them is a torment afflictive. 22 And those who believed and worked righteous works shall be made to enter Gardens whereunder rivers flow as abiders therein by the command of their Lord, their greeting therein will be: peace! 23 Seest thou not how Allah coineth a similitude: A goodly saying, as a goodly tree, its root set firm, its branches reaching into heaven, 24 and yields fruits in every season, by the permission of its Lord? God sets forth parables for people so that they may take heed. 25 An evil word is compared to an evil tree with no firm roots in the land and thus has no stability. 26 God strengthens the faith of the believers by the true Words in this world and in the life to come. He causes the unjust to go astray and does whatever He pleases. 27
