The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
