Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
