Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 and the smooth runners 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
