▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No! By the moon 32 By the night when it departs. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning for people -- 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 who will be in Paradise 40 From the guilty. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
