The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
