The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
