Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
