Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
