The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Allah's judgement has (all but) come; do not, then, call for its speedy advent. Holy is He, and far above their associating others with Him in His Divinity. 1 He sends down the angels with the inspiration by His commandment on whom He pleases of His servants, saying: Give the warning that there is no god but Me, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with truth. Exalted is He above what they associate (with Him)! 3 He created man from a sperm-drop; then at once, he is a clear adversary. 4 And He created cattle; in them are warm clothing and uses for you, and you eat from them. 5 And in them is your elegance, when you bring them home at evening, and when you leave them to graze. 6 And they carry your loads to a land you could not have reached except with difficulty to yourselves. Indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful. 7 And (He has created) horses, mules and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment. And He creates (other) things of which you have no knowledge. 8 And [because He is your Creator,] it rests with God alone to show you the right path: yet there is [many a one] who swerves from it. However, had He so willed, He would have guided you all aright. 9
