▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. 46 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 47 (Gardens) with many branches. 48 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 49 In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free) 50 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 51 Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 53 [In such a paradise the blest will dwell,] reclining upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruit of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 55 Upon thrones are the women who do not gaze at men except their husbands, and before them, are untouched by any man or jinn. 56 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 57 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. 58 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be other than goodness? 60 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 61 Besides those two there shall be two other gardens. 62 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 63 Both inclining to blackness. 64 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 65 In both of them live springs gush forth. 66 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 67 In them are fruits, palm trees and pomegranates. 68 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 69 In them good and comely maidens -- 70 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 71 with big, black and white beautiful eyes, dwelling in tents. 72 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 73 untouched by jinn or mankind before. 74 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 75 [In such a paradise will they dwell,] reclining upon meadows green and carpets rich in beauty. 76 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour. 78
