The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 You will become three categories: 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 And a few of those (foremost) will be from the later time (generations). 14 On studded thrones. 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 And water poured out 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
