Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 a warning to humans, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
