Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
