The unbelievers say: "When we become dust, we and our forefathers, shall we really be brought out (from our graves)? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say, "Travel through the land and see how terrible was the end of the criminal ones". 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 Your Lord has many favors for mankind but most of them are ungrateful. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 There is nothing of the hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not recorded in the luminous Book. 75 Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Surely, by His Judgement, your Lord will decide between them. He is the Mighty, the Knower. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah]. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
