Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 we are the rangers, 165 We glorify God." 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
