No! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until death approached us". 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
