Say: O my Lord! if Thou shouldst make me see what they are threatened with: 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And submit, “My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the instigation of the devils.” 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
