Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
YaSeen. 1 By the wise Qur'an. 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and so were heedless. 6 The word has been proved true against the greater part of them: they will not believe. 7 Surely We have placed chains on their necks, and these reach up to their chins, so they have their heads raised aloft. 8 And We have made before them a barrier and a barrier behind them, then We have covered them over so that they do not see. 9 And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe. 10 Thou only warnest him who follows the Remembrance and who fears the All-merciful in the Unseen; so give him the good tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing. 12
