1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 and so we became deserving of the Word of our Lord that we shall be made to suffer chastisement. 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 (They will be told), "You will certainly suffer the painful torment 38 And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world); 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And certainly most of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
