Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
