The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
