Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
