The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
