The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
