3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
